ESL Learning Experience Designer
Noon Academy is a leading ed-tech platform in the Middle East, with over 12 million students and teachers using our app to learn, teach, and collaborate. Our ultimate goal is to provide access to the best teachers for every student, even if that teacher is only available virtually. Qualifications & Job Requirements
· Educational Background: A Masters in TEFL or TESOL or Cambridge certifications such as CELTA or DELTA (Preferred)
· English language proficiency: Native or Native-Adjacent (Required)
· Certifications and Diplomas on online teaching and learning, hybrid teaching models, online classroom management, strategies to engage online learners. (Preferred)
- Time Zone: Available in the Saudi Time Zone 8am to 5pm
- Type of Contract: Remote (not restricted to any country)/ Permanent / ~40 hours a week. (Sunday-Thursday)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the ESL Teaching Strategy
Drive the delivery of high-quality English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction in a hybrid setup by coordinating and supporting a team of ESL teachers. Ensure lessons are engaging, contextual, and aligned with best practices in English Language Teaching (ELT).
- Enhance Teaching and Learning Through Research and Innovation
Continuously research and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and pedagogies to optimize student learning outcomes. Explore AI-based applications for learning, monitoring, and facilitating engagement e.g. for gamification, collaborative learning etc.
- Develop and Implement Digital Assessment Tools
Curate, design, and deploy digital tools to establish student baseline competencies and monitor progress. Integrate formative and summative assessments into the hybrid classroom model for continuous learning insights.
- Collaborate on Curriculum Development
Contribute to the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of English language courses, materials, and assessments. Ensure they meet the diverse needs of students.
- Prepare and Deliver High-Quality Lessons
This role may also require ad-hoc lesson planning and teaching: plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons and ensure that these are engaging, interactive, and accessible to all students.
- Proactively Enhance the Digital Classroom Experience
Stay informed about the technical aspects of Noon’s platform, identifying opportunities to enhance the user experience. Collaborate with technical teams to implement changes that improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Maintain Feedback Loops, Accountability and Coordination
Ensure timely preparation and upload of all teaching materials, incorporating feedback to continuously improve lesson quality. Coordinate effectively with peers, technical teams, and leadership to align with Noon’s educational vision and establish structured feedback processes within the teaching team to create a collaborative improvement cycle.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
Analyze learning data and engagement metrics to refine lesson plans, tools, and teaching approaches.
